Visit Wales Cottage Grading Scheme Explained
Gary Davies (Strategic Director South West Wales Tourism Partnership)
"Choosing your holiday accommodation can be a difficult decision. This is why Visit Wales, at the Welsh Assembly Government, has developed a star grading scheme.
All listed accommodation has been fully inspected and graded for quality by an independent inspector. The independent quality assessments are undertaken on an annual basis - from the smallest farmhouse to the largest individual self-catering properties and given a star rating on a scale of one to five.
Remember that Stars are your guide to quality - the number of stars indicates the level of quality you can expect from your choice of accommodation. So when you check in, you can be sure of what's on offer, incorporating everything from the quality of the furnishings to the welcome, service and extra facilities.
Enjoy choosing the accommodation that's perfect for you and have a great holiday"
